The Friendship of a man and his 1,200 pet pigs
Everyone loves their pets. But this Japanese farmer has great love for his, and they are not cats, dogs nor parakeets, but yes twelve hundred hogs.
The Japanese photographer Toshiteu Yamaji spent years documenting the life of Otchan, this friendly farmer who treats his pigs like his children, taking naps and walking them.
According Otchan, this treatment of pigs is his way to "compensate" the sad future of animals that go to slaughter.
This story was published in a book "Pigs and Papa".

Flying car created in Holland
PAL-V ONE is the first hybrid car and gyroplane being tested successfully.
The concept of a flying car has been a feature in popular visions of the future, but never actually carried. Now, the PAL-V ONE became the first hybrid car and gyroplane being tested successfully.
The PAL-V ONE is the first to combine car design with gyroplane technology. The three wheel car,slimline, which uses the 'tilt' technology to make the driving experience similar to a motorcycle,
has Gyroplane blades mounted on top of the vehicle. Users will need to drive to the nearest airport to take flight. Once in the sky, can reach up to 112 kilometers per hour and is designed to operate in 4,000 feet or less.
The vehicle will be sold for $ 300,000.

The meat industry produces almost a fifth of all greenhouse gases created, occupy vast amounts of land, resources and energy, and is based on techniques that contribute to animal cruelty.
The idea of three Harvard graduates – Laura D’Asaro, Rose Wang e Meryl Natow – the first product of startup is Chirps, it's a naturallow-fat gluten free chip, instead of the usual potato or corn, Chirps are created from a mixture of ground grains, rice and powdered crickets, which are baked instead of fried.
The result is a bag of potato chips containing 7 grams of protein - more than one egg. This comes from the fact that the cricket meat provides more nutrients and proteins than traditional meat. All of this without harming nature.
Would you dare to try it? I know I would!

Meet the South African who plays with wild lions!
Kevin Richardson is an autodidact, "The Lion Whisperer", as he is known, learned to handle lions alone.
According to reports, from three years old, he already felt this attraction to wildlife.
In South Africa, Kevin started working at the Lion Park in Johannesburg which handles about 80 lions, working with them for about 11 years. The zoologist avoided traditional methods to train animals ,such as cages and chains, and used other weapons: love, understanding and trust.

The First SmartPhone Made of Bamboo!
The British company AD Creative has just launched the first smartphone made from bamboo fiber, the ADzero, with Android system and personalized interface.
The product is considered innovative and sustainable by using bamboo instead of plastic in their structure, and only a few units will be produced, in order to become a unique and conscious consumption product.
The device uses the Android 4.0 operating system with Google and a custom interface developed specifically for the ADzero, named ADAOS. The junction of the Android system and ADAOS was named by the company as technologic "perfection".
The prototype was developed by a 24 year old designer, Kieron-Scott Woodhouse that promoted his ideas on social networks. A Chinese investor believed in the project and financially invested in the development of ADzero, so the young company AD Creative was born, with the motto "together reinventing the simplicity."

Amazing luminous mushrooms
Mushrooms that emit a greenish bright light to attract insects.
This phenomenon was recently discovered and is common in some regions of Japan in May and July.
The present scenario is charming, for the light spots that cover the tree trunks and moist soil.
As the action of man in these forests is still restricted, makes it easy the appearance of these works of art of nature.
It's amazing the power that nature has created such unique things.

The Island of the swimming pigs
Big Major Cay is one of the paradise islands of the Bahamas.
Crystal clear water, white sand... a true paradise!
So far so normal because it is a common thing in the Bahamas, but this island has something interesting about it...
The only difference is that this island is completely uninhabited, I mean uninhabited by humans, because this island, for a totally unknown reason, is inhabited only by pigs.

Surely a boat with pigs must have been shipwrecked near the island and the pigs, as excellent swimmers, managed to get there.
In fact, if even elephants can swim, why shouldn't a pig?
The island became a tourist attraction because when a boat approaches, the swimming pigs come looking for food, near the tourists.

An interesting detail is that we think pigs are dirty, but notice how clean is this island, uninhabited by humans ...
A true paradox for an island full of pigs, I'm sure it would be different if it was full of humans.

#002 - Eggs!
I expect to climb the humble and wise tree, the branches seen strong enough to handle my weight, Hopefully I've always had great success in climbing, well, most of the times...
And so I jump, I hold, I upswing and I pierce through the tree crown! Birds and squirrels flee, alarmed by the creaks and squeaks caused due to all of the excitement I gave the tree's branches and leaves, on my ascent.
I'm now at the top of the tree, standing close to the yellow bird's nest I saw from the ground. It's bigger than I Imagined! mother bird flew away, because of the disturbance I created, leaving behind her fluffy, bushy nest, with 3 of her rather huge eggs, resting in it...
I feel it may be wrong to take any of the eggs, I can feel each one of those little living creatures inside of them...
From the top of the canopy I see a blueberry bush, filled with delicious berries, and... a friend!
Yellow River, the Wild River

The Yellow River is the second longest river in China that has the particularity to be very rich in a type of mud formed from the erosion of rocks of the great Chinese plains. The river is filled with yellow sand that ends up giving this color to the river.
To prevent the river from rising too much because of this excess mud and sand, the Chinese government decided to "empty" the river in the Yellow Sea. Millions of cubic meters of water are dumped, this way, getting rid of the excess mud of the river.
