THE IBERIAN LYNX (LYNX PARDINUS) - THE ALMOST EXTINCT MEOW MEOW

Also known as liberne, the Iberian lynx, whose scientific name is Lynx pardinus, is a very rare animal, endemic to the Iberian Peninsula, and exists only in Portugal and Spain, and has a very restricted geographic distribution .

(It's my favorite animal, by the way ;) )
In Spain, there are only two known breeding areas, both in Andalusia, the eastern regions of the Sierra Morena and Doñana.

Recent data Also poinst to the existence of some records of animals isolated in the hills of East Toledo, West Sistema Central and Western Sierra Morena.

In Portugal, currently there are no known breeding populations of Iberian lynx, but the occurrence of some sporadic records, some of which are animals from Spanish populations in search of new territory, has brought hope and a new view to the efforts to conserve this iconic species.

In total it is estimated that in nature there are only about 300 adult individuals.

One of my dreams when I was younger was to volunteer and help!
STAY SUPER!
